This problem is often caused by incorrect storage. VS eventually distorts the film, causing a warping effect and a visible twisting of the film when projected on a film projector. This first reel copy from Cleopatra (1963) shows w...

In 1995, archaeologists made a remarkable discovery in Egypt's Valley of the Kings. Though the tomb numbered KV5 was already partially excavated as early as 1825, its true extent was only discovered by Kent Weeks and his team. During their exploration it gradually appeared to be the largest in the Valley of the Kings. Though probably started as an earlier tomb, it was later usurped and enlarged...
1960's Bulova Accutron 214
Переглядів 37 тис.10 років тому
In 1960 Bulova introduced the Accutron 214. Unique for its day, in a world still dominated by mechanical watches and clocks, the Accutron set a new standard for watch accuracy. With its electronically (battery) driven tuning fork driving the gear, it made escapements and balance wheels obsolete. First there was the Accutron tuning fork mechanism, and only later came quartz.

London has the greatest free-lance community!
Great orchestra!
And to think, Lew Wallace who wrote the original story of Ben Hur was the very same man who signed Billy the Kid's death warrant.
작곡가에게 감사합니다. 당신의 기도를 통해 하나님의 허락하신 영감이 이 노래에 스며들어 시대를 초월한 감동이 우리의 마음에 단비를 적셔 주네요.

Get this man a role in Fallout. Seth seems to be an expert in the 1950s-60's Americana culture.

VAMOOOO LOS REDOOOONDOOOOS
Öyle anlatıyorsun ki. Bir an kendimi bir yerde buldum. Yahu bu adamlar , ben ülkücüyüm diye emekliye zorladı.
It is still the greatest movie: best director, best music, best horseman(Yakima Canutt), 15,000 extras, best set design(along with Ten Commandments), best cameramen, best actors and actresses from the long gone glorious Hollywood era. They were all such a gifted artists yet so humble. Now they are overpaid mediocre, and arrogant snobs Sad.
I love Ben-Hur❤
Tom and Jerry made me love classical music.
0:06 🦁
This orchestra brings the movie back to me and it was wonderful.
Damn the french they shot a innocent woman
Superb! Superb!! Superb!!! Those orchestrations.... Nobody like Richard Rodgers.
What I've noticed in the overture of this film is that Maurice Jarre perfectly combines the elements of the Arab land and the United Kingdom into the piece. With the first 40 seconds sounding like war, the next minute gives us the imagery of the desert landscape, then the continued battle, then it fades into a military march that symbolizes Lawrence's origin. Then they eventually all combine together to visualize the path Lawrence took in WWI.... Pure orchestral perfection.
Well put, thanks.
Fabulous
Lawrence entering the officer’s club with the scrubby Arab in tow and demanding a lemonade for his friend was, to me, the highlight of the morality tale of this brave, risk - taking British officer’s single-handed command and banishment of the Turks from Arab land. The music by Maurice Jarre made the entire movie the epic it was, and is. Long live the King.
It's weird how it seemed like the order in which it was drawing seemed almost random at times and yet it had reqsons I don't understand.
I saw this movie when it first premiered at The Radio City Music hall in NYC in 1962.
She was so dang beautiful
Maravilloso

If there is any film in history that i would want to be the leading man it is surely Ben Hur 💯
There are 11 million reasons why Ben Hur won 11 Oscar's
Ok, now I want to see how "angrily throw plates into trash can" is notated in the percussion part.
Just wish they had the classic Tom yell or shriek in this. Or at least an imitator to do those vocal effects
